Thailand’s NFT Experiment For Tourists

Thailand is one of the most popular tourist destinations in the world, with over 35 million people visiting each year.

All tourists in Thailand can now get NFTs through the Tourism Authority of Thailand.

This initiative, called the ‘Amazing Thailand NFTs’ experience, gives NFTs to tourists in Thailand at five major cultural landmarks - China Town, Siam Square, the Ancient City in Samut Prakan, Wat Arun, or Giant Swing. Stands with QR codes will be placed in each tourist place. Tourists can download the YAKS app, scan the code and get a random NFT. Each location has only 3,999 NFTs so they will be in a race against time and other tourists. If a tourist collects at least three NFTs, he will receive bonuses, such as discounts on air tickets, food, drinks, and hotels.

The tourism department hopes that these NFTs will encourage tourists to explore the country like never before. The ‘Amazing Thailand NFTs’ were announced on November 15, 2022, and will be available up until December 14, 2022.
